Sweet potato biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- sunflower oil - 1/3 c
- soy margarine - 1/3 c
- soy milk - 2 Tbsp
- mashed sweet potatoes
- sifted whole wheat pastry flour - 2 c
- pure honey - 1 Tbsp
How to make sweet potato biscuits:
Preheat oven to 400°. Sift dry ingredients. Cut in margarine and oil. Blend in potatoes. Add soy milk to make a moist (slightly sticky) dough. Drop in 1/2 cup measures on a dry cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Yields 12 to 16 biscuits.Recipe categories: Breads, Potato, Rolls/biscuits.
