  • packed brown sugar
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • can pineapple chunks - 1 1/4
  • dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • small green pepper, chopped - 1 item

How to make sweet and sour meatballs:

Sweet and Sour Sauce:1/2 c. packed brown sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 (13 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks1/3 c. vinegar1 Tbsp. soy sauce1 small green pepper, chopped Mix ingredients together; shape into twenty 1 1/2-inch balls. Cook over medium heat. Turn occasionally until brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from skillet; drain fat.

Sweet and Sour Sauce: Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple with syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Add meatballs. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper. Cover and simmer until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
