Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- can pineapple chunks - 1 1/4
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- small green pepper, coarsely chopped - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Cook meatballs in skillet; remove and drain fat from skillet. Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple (with syrup), vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat and add meatballs. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper. Cover. Simmer until crisp and tender, 5 minutes.
