Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • ketchup - 3 Tbsp
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • ground black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • pieces chicken breasts - 4 item

How to make sweet and sour chicken:

Saute onion until soft in oil. Combine ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice and black pepper. Add to onion. Add chicken; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until done. Remove chicken to platter. Dissolve cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water. Add to sauce; bring to boil, stirring and cooking until thickened. Pour sauce over chicken.
