Sweet and sour chicken
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- chicken - 1 pkg
- medium green pepper - 1 item
- can chunk pineapple - 1 item
- can carrots - 1 item
- hot, cooked rice - 3 c
- egg, beaten with fork - 1 item
- cornstarch in bag - 1/4 c
How to make sweet and sour chicken:
Fry chicken and set aside to drain. Put the vinegar, sugar, leftover pineapple juice and water in pan; stir constantly until it boils. Add pineapple chunks and carrots. Pour over chicken and rice. Bake at 300° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Chicken, Chicken breast.
