Swedish ginger cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ginger - 1 tsp
- dark corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- grated orange peel
How to make swedish ginger cookies:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Mix and chill dough.Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch. Cut into shapes with floured cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 8 dozen cookies.
