Swedish ginger cookies
Ingredients/Components
- Canola oil - 3/4 c
- sugar plus more for rolling - 1 c
- dark molasses - 4 Tbsp
- large egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- ground ginger - 1 tsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
How to make swedish ginger cookies:
Heat oven to 350°. With electric mixer, cream together oil and sugar. Beat in molasses and egg. Add remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly. Shape dough into walnut-size balls, roll in sugar and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown and cracked on top. Let cool on wire racks. Store in airtight container.
