Swedish fruit soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- tapioca - 3 Tbsp
- 3-inch stick cinnamon - 1 item
- dried apricots * - 1 c
- dried apples * - 3/4 c
- dried peaches * - 1/2 c
- pitted dried prunes * - 1/2 c
- dark seedless raisins * - 1/2 c
How to make swedish fruit soup:
*Or 4 cups mixed dried fruit.Rinse fruit well in cold water in large saucepan with tight lid. Cover fruit with water and soak 3 hours. Add sugar, tapioca, cinnamon and orange peel to fruit. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 1 hour or until fruit is tender.
