Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- egg yolks - 5 item
- oil - 1/2 c
- water or 1/2 c - 3/4 c
- cream of tartar - 7 whites
- self-rising cake flour
How to make sunshine cake:
Sift flour and sugar; make a well. Add oil, yolks and liquid; beat well with a spoon. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until very stiff. Fold egg yolk mixture over egg whites. Gently fold until blended. Pour into 10-inch tube pan. Bake in a 325° oven for 50 minutes. Bake at 350° for 5 to 10 minutes. Invert; cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Comfort food.
