Stuffed shells
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- egg - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1/4 tsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
- cottage or Ricotta cheese - 12 oz
- chopped spinach, cooked and drained well - 1 pkg
- large jar your favorite spaghetti sauce - 1 item
- jumbo macaroni shells, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
How to make stuffed shells:
In a large mixing bowl, combine onion, salt and pepper, egg, spinach, Parmesan cheese, cottage cheese and 1 cup of Mozzarella. Mix well. Stuff cooked jumbo shells with this cheese mixture and place, open side down, in a large baking dish. Cover with spaghetti sauce.Cover dish with foil and bake at 400° for approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella cheese and serve.
