  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • red wine vinegar - 1/4 c
  • toasted sesame seed - 1 tsp
  • onion powder - 1/4 tsp
  • fresh strawberries, washed and hulled - 1 pt
  • salad oil not olive oil
  • scant sugar - 1/4 c
  • fresh dill, chopped or 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
  • fresh spinach, washed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces - 1 lb

How to make strawberry-spinach salad:

Dressing:1/2 c. salad oil (not olive oil)1/4 c. red wine vinegar1/4 c. (scant) sugar1/4 tsp. garlic powder1/4 tsp. onion powder1/4 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper1/4 tsp. dry mustard Place spinach in large bowl, preferably glass. Sprinkle with dill and sesame seed. If strawberries are very large, cut in half. Add to bowl.

To make dressing, combine all dressing ingredients in a small bowl or jar with cover, stirring or shaking to blend. Makes about 3/4 cup of dressing.

Pour dressing over contents of bowl and toss gently. Serves 4 to 6.
