Strawberry salad



  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • strawberry Jell-O - 2 or
  • container whipped topping - 1 (8
  • crushed pretzels - 1 c

How to make strawberry salad:

Melt butter in a long rectangular dish (Pyrex). Add crushed pretzels and 2 tablespoons sugar. Mix and spread evenly. Bake 10 minutes at 350° until lightly browned. Set aside to cool thoroughly. Whip softened cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and whipped topping, mixing well. Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water; add frozen strawberries, separating with fork. Spoon this over cream cheese mixture. Chill for several hours until firm. Serve in squares.
