Strawberry shortcut cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• baking powder - 3 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• box strawberry jello - 1 oz
• mini marshmallows - 1 c
• thawed, sliced strawberries - 2 c

How to make strawberry shortcut cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease bottom only of 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Mix flour, sugar, shortening, baking powder, salt, milk and vanilla for 3 minutes. Pour over marshmallows.

Combine sliced strawberries with strawberry jello and spoon mixture evenly over batter. Bake 45 to 50 minutes, until golden brown. Check with toothpick.
