Strawberry rhubarb pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 oz
- sliced fresh strawberries - 2 c
- rhubarb, cut in 1/2-inch pieces - 2 c
- ground nutmeg or cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
How to make strawberry rhubarb pie:
Combine all ingredients, except pastry, and let stand for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare pastry for 9-inch pie. Put mixture into pie crust. Dot with 1 tablespoon of butter. Put on top crust. Put aluminum foil around edge. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 400°.Can be frozen and put in oven frozen for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 400°.
