Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- sour cream - 1 pt
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/3 c
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- margarine - 1/3 c
- butter, melted - 1 Tbsp
- can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 lb
- cottage cheese small curd - 1 lb
How to make cheese squares:
Crust:2 3/4 c. flour3 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. salt1/4 c. sugar1/3 c. butter1/3 c. margarine1 egg, slightly beaten1/3 c. milk Filling: Mix together cheese, sugar and sour cream. Add eggs, butter and vanilla. Stir in pineapple; set aside.Crust: In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in 1/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup margarine. Combine egg and milk. Blend into dry ingredients with a fork. Press into 15 x 10-inch pan; add filling. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
