Strawberry pie

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3/4 c
• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• cornstarch
• whipping cream
• strawberries
• softened oleo - 1 tsp
• baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
• drops red food color - 4 item
• water or berry juice - 1/2 c
• fresh whole berries - 1 item

How to make strawberry pie:

Topping:1 c. whipping cream2 Tbsp. sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla fresh whole berries Arrange 2 1/2 pints of berries on pastry shell; finely chop remaining berries (1 pint). In a small pot, put sugar, cornstarch and water. Stir and bring to boil on low heat; stir until thickens. Remove from heat; add oleo and red food coloring. Cool slightly and pour over pie shell. Chill thoroughly. Before serving, combine topping of whipped cream, sugar and vanilla. Beat well until peaks form. Pile cream on top of pie. Garnish with whole berries.
