Strawberry nut bread

sugar
eggs - 4 item
vanilla - 1 tsp
sour cream - 1/2 c
salt - 1 tsp
chopped nuts - 1/2 c
baking soda - 1/2 tsp
sifted flour - 3 c
butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
cream of tartar - 3/4 tsp
strawberry jam - 1 c

How to make strawberry nut bread:

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and soda. Combine jam and sour cream. Add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Bake in well-greased and floured loaf pans 50 minutes at 350°. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans.
