Strawberry glazed cheesecake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 2 c
- cold water - 1/4 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- cream cheese, softened
- graham crackers, crushed - 12 item
- walnuts, ground - 1/2 c
- strawberries, crushed - 2 c
- strawberries fresh - 24 item
- gelatin unflavored - 1 pkg
How to make strawberry glazed cheesecake:
Combine graham crackers, walnuts, sugar and butter/margarine. Press on bottom and sides of 9-inch spring-form pan. Chill. Beat eggs until light and thick; add sugar, vanilla and lemon juice while beating. Beat in cream cheese and sour cream, a little at a time. Beat until smooth and without lumps. Pour into spring-form pan. Bake at 350° for 75 to 80 minutes. Turn off heat and leave cake in closed oven for 90 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in pan to room temperature.Meanwhile, combine crushed strawberries and 1 cup sugar. Heat to boiling. Soften gelatin in cold water; stir in. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Chill until very thick. Spread over top and sides of cheesecake. Garnish top with whole strawberries. Chill until ready to serve.
Note: Frozen strawberries may be used when fresh ones are not available. Serving Size: 16. Preparation Time: 2:00.
