water - 2 c
sliced strawberries - 1 c
lemon juice - 1 tsp
baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
Jell-O brand vanilla pudding and pie filling - 1 serving
prepared Dream Whip topping

How to make strawberry dream pie:

Combine the first 4 ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Pour into bowl and chill until thickened. To hasten chilling, place bowl of pudding mixture in larger bowl of ice and water. Stir until thickened. Blend in the Dream Whip and the sliced strawberries. Pour mixture into the pie shell. Chill until set, 1 to 2 hours. Garnish with strawberries.

Note: One envelope of Dream Whip makes 2 cups whipped topping. Be certain to use only 1 1/2 cups; 2 cups takes away some of the strawberry flavor.
