  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • eggs, separated - 4 item
  • Wesson oil - 3/4 c
  • box white cake mix - 1 item
  • box strawberry jello - 1 item
  • stick softened margarine - 1 item
  • Glaze:1 box powdered sugar
  • box frozen strawberries, thawed and drained - 1 oz
  • strawberry juice from frozen berries - 3/4 c
  • box strawberries, drained - 1 oz

How to make strawberry cake:

Glaze:1 box powdered sugar1 stick softened margarine1 (10 oz.) box strawberries, drained Mix the cake mix, jello, flour, oil and strawberry juice. Add egg yolks; mix well. Add drained strawberries. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites to the mixture. Pour into prepared 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

Glaze: Mix sugar, margarine and berries with remaining juice left from cake mixture. If thicker glaze is desired, use less berries. Pour over hot cake. This cake does better if it is made the night before.
