Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- salad oil - 1 c
- box white cake mix - 1 item
- box frozen strawberries, thawed - 10 oz
- box strawberry gelatin - 3 oz
- box frozen strawberries - 10 oz
- Add oil and mix; add milk and mix
How to make strawberry cake:
Mix dry ingredients. Add oil and mix; add milk and mix. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add strawberries, coconut and nuts.Grease and flour three layer pans. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove cake. Cool. Frost with icing.Icing:1/2 c. butter, softened10 oz. box frozen strawberries1 lb. powdered sugar1/2 c. chopped pecans1/2 c. coconut Cream butter and sugar gradually in small amounts. Add strawberries, pecans and coconut. Mix well. Spread between layers and let drizzle down sides of cake.
