Ingredients/Components

  • vegetable oil
  • garlic salt
  • dry sherry - 1/2 c
  • can condensed cream of mushroom soup - 1 3/4
  • hot rice - 3 c
  • can sliced mushrooms, drained reserve liquid - 1 oz
  • large onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings - 2 item
  • tenderized boneless beef round steak

How to make steak and rice:

Cut steak into thin strips. In large skillet (ovenproof if desired) brown meat in oil, using high heat. Add onions. Saute until tender. Add mushrooms. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour or cover and bake at 350°. Serve over bed of fluffy rice. Makes 6 servings. Good reheated!
