  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • slices bacon, cooked and crumbled - 6 item
  • fresh spinach - 1 lb
  • small red onion, chopped - 1 item
  • hard-cooked eggs, finely chopped - 3 item
  • Dressing:1 small onion, chopped

How to make spinach salad:

Dressing:1 small onion, chopped1 c. vegetable oil1/3 c. vinegar1/3 c. sugar1 Tbsp. prepared mustard1 tsp. celery seed1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper Remove stems from spinach, wash leaves and pat dry. Tear into bite-size pieces. Combine with onion, eggs and bacon in large bowl. Serve with dressing. Yields 2 cups.

Dressing: Combine all ingredients in blender; mix well. Chill thoroughly. Stir before serving.
