Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion - 1 item
- green pepper - 1/2 item
- rice, uncooked - 1/2 c
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Saute onion and green pepper in shortening. Add rice and tomato sauce. Cook all about 30 minutes and season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
