Sourdough biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- proofed sourdough batter - 2 c
- flour
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter or Crisco - 1/4 c
- milk or buttermilk - 1/2 c
How to make sourdough biscuits:
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and cut in butter. Mix milk with batter and stir into dry ingredients. Knead on a board for about 30 seconds. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick; cut into circles with glass or biscuit cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Allow to rise 30 minutes.
