Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 6 c
- oil - 3/4 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- warm water - 1 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make sourdough biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in water; set aside. Mix milk and oil; stir in yeast mixture. Mix dry ingredients together; then add to liquid mixture. May be rolled out immediately or let rise up to 2 hours. Place on a greased sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400°.May be stored for several days in refrigerator in a greased, covered bowl.
