  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 3
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda
  • shortening
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • sour milk
  • raisins, dates or candied fruits - 1 c

How to make sour milk cake:

In a bowl, dissolve the soda in the sour milk. Add sugar, salt and shortening. Mix well. Sift in the dry ingredients. Mix well. Add the cup of your chosen fruit; mix in. Bake at 350° for 40 to 60 minutes.
