Ingredients/Components
- cup sugar - 1 item
- stick butter - 1 item
- eggs - 2 item
- pint sour cream - 1/2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cups flour - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- cup milk - 1/2 item
- can cherry pie filling topping - 1 item
- Topping:1/4 cup sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- cup chopped nuts - 1/2 item
How to make sour cream cherry cake:
Topping:1/4 cup sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/2 cup chopped nuts Combine butter, sugar, beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in sour cream and vanilla until smooth. Sift together flour, soda, and baking powder and beat into creamed mixture, alternately with the milk until mixed well. Pour 1/2 the batter into a lightly greased tube pan with a removable bottom. Spread cherry pie filling over batter in pan and pour remaining batter on top. Mix topping ingredients: Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
