- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- 9-inch pie crust
- unbeaten egg - 1 item
- diced apples - 2 c
How to make sour cream apple pie:
Filling:2 Tbsp. flour1/8 tsp. salt3/4 c. sugar1 unbeaten egg1 c. dairy sour cream1 tsp. vanilla1/4 tsp. nutmeg2 c. diced apples Topping:1/3 c. sugar1/3 c. flour1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. butter Prepare your favorite 9-inch pie crust. Preheat oven to 400°.For the filling, sift together flour, salt and sugar. Add egg, sour cream, vanilla and nutmeg. Beat to smooth thin batter. Blend in diced apples and pour into pastry. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 350° for 30 minutes.
Topping: Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle over pie and brown for 10 minutes at 400°.
