Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- 9-inch pie shell
- Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped - 2 c
- In a large bowl, sift together all ingredients
How to make sour cream apple pie:
Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, sift together all ingredients. Add sour cream, egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add apples and mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350° and continue baking for 30 minutes. While pie is in the oven, prepare the topping.Topping:1/3 c. sugar1/3 c. flour1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. butter Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle topping over pie. Return to oven.
