Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- raisins - 1 c
- oatmeal - 2 c
How to make soft oatmeal cookies:
Boil raisins 10 minutes and drain reserving 5 tablespoons raisin juice. Add soda to 5 tablespoons raisin juice. Mix remaining ingredients, adding nuts and raisins last. Dip by spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
