Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 1/2 c
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
How to make snickerdoodles:
Heat oven to 400°. Mix shortening, margarine, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls. Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet.
