Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 4 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • cream of tartar - 2 tsp
  • shortening or butter - 1 C

How to make snickerdoodles:

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs; mix well. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Chill dough.

Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of: 2 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
