Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- shortening or butter - 1 C
How to make snickerdoodles:
Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs; mix well. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Chill dough.Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of: 2 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
