Skillet macaroni and beef
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- cooking oil - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- uncooked elbow macaroni - 2 c
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- can crushed tomatoes - 28 oz
- slivered green pepper - 1 c
- slivered black olives - 1/2 c
- frozen green beans, thawed enough to measure - 1 c
How to make skillet macaroni and beef:
Cook macaroni; drain. Heat oil in large, heavy skillet or wok. Add beef; cook and stir until lightly browned. Add onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, beans, tomatoes, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; stir well. Add macaroni. Bring to a boil, turn down heat. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes. Stir often. Add a little water, if necessary to keep from sticking. Stir in olives and serve. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
