Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • sliced celery - 1 c
  • thyme - 1/2 tsp
  • beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • canned tomatoes - 2 c
  • uncooked noodles - 1 c

How to make beef chowder:

Brown beef and onion. Spoon off grease. Add tomatoes, 4 cups hot water, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper, bay leaf, celery and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Add noodles, mixed vegetables and thyme. Return to boil and cook 15 minutes longer.
