Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 5 oz
  • flour - 12 oz
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • corn flour cornstarch - 2 oz
  • rice flour - 2 oz

How to make shortbread:

Knead together all ingredients. Pour into greased Swiss roll tin and bake 25 minutes at 300°. Take out of oven, cut and sprinkle with sugar. Switch off oven and return shortbread to sit overnight. (This dries it out and makes it very crunchy.)
