Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 tsp
  • brown sugar
  • water - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • unbaked pie crust - 1 item
  • corn syrup dark - 1/2 c

How to make shoo-fly pie:

Pie Filling:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. corn syrup (dark)2 tsp. flour1 c. water1 egg, beaten1 tsp. vanilla Crumb Topping:1 c. flour1/4 c. sugar1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. cream of tartar1/4 c. margarine Combine pie filling in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring and cool. Pour into crust.

Make crumb topping. Put on top of pie filling and bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350°.
