Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- nuts - 1 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- hot water - 1 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- dates, cut fine - 1 c
How to make date pudding:
Date Pudding Sauce:1 c. brown sugar1 Tbsp. flour1 egg, beaten1/4 c. margarine1/2 c. water Pour hot water over dates and soda. Let stand until cool. Mix ingredients, then add date mixture. Pour into pan and bake. Cut cake into blocks and serve with whipped cream or pudding sauce and add bananas if wanted. This makes a small batch. Double it to make a larger batch. Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour.Combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil until thickened. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla; cool. Mix this with date pudding.
