- chili powder - 1 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- fat - 3 Tbsp
- onions, chopped - 3 item
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- cooked tomatoes or 1 lb - 2 c
How to make texas hash:
Heat oven to 350°. Saute onions and green pepper in fat in heavy frying pan. Add beef and stir until brown and crumbly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Cover and bake 1 hour. Remove cover for the last 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
