Scalloped potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- oleo - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- grated cheese - 1 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- corn chips - 1 c
- thin sliced potatoes - 4 c
How to make scalloped potatoes:
Butter sides and bottom of 2-quart baking dish. Melt oleo in medium size saucepan. Blend in flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Stir in milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens slightly.Place half of the potatoes in bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the chopped onion. Pour half of sauce over. Repeat layers until all is used. Sprinkle cheese and corn chips over the top. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and top is bubbly and golden brown.
