  • buttermilk - 3/4 c
  • shortening - 1/4 c
  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • sausage - 1/2 lb

How to make sausage biscuits:

Fry sausage. Drain and crumble. Place flour in a mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and stir until blended. Stir in sausage. Knead on a floured board about 10 times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a cutter. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown at 450°.
