Angel biscuits

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/4 c
• soda - 1/2 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• shortening - 1/2 c
• self-rising flour - 3 c
• yeast - 1 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Sift flour, sugar and soda together in a bowl. Work shortening into this mixture. Add milk and yeast and mix well. Cover and store in refrigerator and use as needed. Will last several days, if desired.
