Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Sift flour, sugar and soda together in a bowl. Work shortening into this mixture. Add milk and yeast and mix well. Cover and store in refrigerator and use as needed. Will last several days, if desired.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
