Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- bulk sausage - 1 lb
- sharp shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- slices white bread, buttered and cubed - 2 item
How to make sausage and egg casserole:
Saute sausage in a skillet; drain well. Beat together eggs, milk, dry mustard and salt. Put bread cubes in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Put a layer of cheese, then a layer of sausage. Pour milk and eggs over all. Refrigerate until the next day. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes and serve hot. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Holiday, Breakfast, Casseroles.
