  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • crushed pecans - 1 item
  • water - 1/2 c
  • melted butter - 1/2 c
  • rum - 1/2 c
  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • instant vanilla pudding - 1 pkg
  • Syrup:1 stick butter

How to make rum cake:

Syrup:1 stick butter1 c. sugar1/4 c. water1 oz. rum Mix all ingredients; beat well. Cover bottom of Bundt pan with crushed pecans. Pour in batter. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

Syrup: Mix ingredients, except rum; heat to simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the rum. Take cake out of oven and poke holes all over with fork. Spoon syrup over cake; save small amount. When cake is cool, remove and glaze with remaining syrup.
