Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour approximately - 5 c
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening about the size of a large egg - 1/4 c
- sweet milk or 1 c - 2 c
How to make rolls:
Sift self-rising flour into a wooden bread tray. Fill to almost full (about 5 cups). Make a doodle-hole in the middle of the flour. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 packages dry yeast. Add shortening. Heat milk to lukewarm. Work it in by hand. After working dough well, place it in a warm place until double in size (about 1 hour). Punch down. Make rolls out to desired size. Let these set 1 hour.
