Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • milk - 1 gal
  • rice - 1 c
  • vanilla flavoring to taste - 1 item
  • small eggs - 2 item
  • non-instant rice - 2 c
  • eggs medium size - 3 item
  • Mix sugar and eggs; add to rice mixture when rice is soft

How to make rice pudding:

Cook rice in milk until soft (approximately 1 1/2 hours) over medium heat in a double boiler. Mix sugar and eggs; add to rice mixture when rice is soft. Cook for additional 1/2 hour. Let cool and serve. May add cinnamon on top at serving.One-Half Recipe:1/2 gal. milk1 c. rice2 small eggs1 c. sugar
