Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • hot water - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cracker crumbs
  • minced onion
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
  • cooked rice
  • sausage - 3/4 lb
  • celery leaves, minced - 3 Tbsp
  • cooked or canned tomatoes

How to make rice and sausage casserole:

Cut sausage into small pieces. Fry until brown. Add the water. Combine other ingredients, except butter, and stir into the sausage. Grease a casserole dish and turn the mixture into it. Dot with the butter and bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6.
