Reuben casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- margarine, softened - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- mustard - 1 Tbsp
- shredded Swiss cheese - 1 c
- slices rye bread - 6 item
- sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained - 1 c
- cooked ham, cut in cubes - 8 oz
How to make reuben casserole:
Spread one side of bread slices with butter. Stack and cut in 1-inch cubes. Place in greased 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Add ham, cheese and sauerkraut; toss to mix. With fork beat the eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over bread mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°, until top is lightly browned and egg mixture is set.
