Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- plain flour
- nuts optional - 1 c
- red food coloring - 2 Tbsp
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Wesson oil
- Add eggs and blend well
How to make red velvet cake:
Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and blend well. Mix cocoa and food coloring together. Add vinegar and mix well. Add this to egg and sugar mixture. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Add alternately with buttermilk and mix well. Add vanilla. PreheRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
