  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • flour - 2 c
  • cocoa - 1 Tbsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk or sour milk - 1 c
  • red food coloring - 2 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • box vanilla pudding kind you cook - 1 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • stick butter - 1/2 item
  • 10x sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • coconut - 1 item

How to make red velvet cake:

Frosting:1/4 c. flour1 box vanilla pudding (kind you cook)1 c. milk dash of salt1/2 c. shortening1/2 stick butter1 c. 10x sugar2 tsp. vanilla coconut Blend shortening, sugar and eggs together. Sift flour, cocoa and soda. Add to other mixture. Add salt, vinegar and food coloring. Stir in milk. Mix well. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

Frosting: Cook pudding, flour, milk and salt. Let cool. Cream the sugar, butter, shortening and vanilla until fluffy. Then mix first ingredients to second ingredients. Frost cake and sprinkle coconut on top.
